MGPC Security & Training Limited is proud to offer the Paediatric First Aid qualification, designed to provide learners with the essential confidence, knowledge and practical skills required to safeguard the wellbeing of infants and children in their care. Our training supports compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements and promotes a safer environment across early years settings and home-based childcare.
This qualification is ideal for individuals who wish to become paediatric first aiders in the workplace, particularly those responsible for the welfare of babies and young children. It is specifically aimed at those working, or intending to work, in early years environments, and fully meets the paediatric first aid requirements set out within the EYFS framework. Learners will develop a thorough understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider, ensuring they are well prepared to respond appropriately to a wide range of emergency situations involving infants and children.
Delivered over one day, the course enables learners to build both essential practical skills and a solid theoretical foundation. Key topics include providing first aid to unresponsive infants and children, managing head and spinal injuries, responding to choking incidents, and recognising and treating anaphylaxis. Assessment is conducted through practical demonstrations and a multiple-choice theory test, ensuring learners meet the required standard and are able to act quickly, confidently and effectively in real-life situations.
